This restoration project included a wide range of varying fixtures, including chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, and ceiling lights. The existing finish on all the fixtures had deteriorated with numerous fixtures requiring a new custom metal oil finish. All electrical components would be replaced with UL listed products and test in accordance with UL 1598 standards.
Grand Light is restoring numerous large historic chandeliers from the The Jewish Center located at 131 West 86th Street in Manhattan, New York. The restoration included the cleaning/conservation of existing steel components and a new antique brass patina finish with burnished highlights for all brass components.
Grand Light is restoring the historic chandeliers from the Unitarian Church of All Souls renovation project located on Lexington Avenue on the East Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City.
Grand Light is restoring large chandeliers from the Trinity United Methodist Church located in Springfield, Massachusetts. The existing finish shall be cleaned and conserved, and sixty-six new amber mica lenses for exterior lights will be fabricated.
Grand Light restored numerous pendant lights and wall sconces from the Immaculate Heart Of Mary Church located in Brooklyn, New York. The existing finish was removed via media blast and refinished with a satin black finish and multiple applications of UV resistant top coat.
Grand Light restored interior pendants, ceiling lights, and wall sconces. Each fixture was ultrasonically and hand cleaned to remove excess corrosion and multiple applications of museum grade, UV resistant clear metal wax was applied to conserve the existing finish.
