Internal Revenue Service Building

Grand Light was selected to restore the original exterior lanterns located on the IRS Headquarters. Each lantern was mechanically repaired, any missing parts were replicated by using the existing as models and each component was bead blasted and refinished.
 

New Haven Courthouse – Entry Doors

Grand Light was selected to refinish the massive courthouse doors. These giant cast and plate doors are over 8 ft tall and are estimated to weigh well over 800 pounds each. The restoration of these doors included repairing and filling holes, removing all aged finish, and an application of a new custom red rust patina.
 

Yellowstone National Park – Old Faithful Lodge

Grand Light was selected to restore and replicate the lighting fixtures from the historic Geyser Hall at the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park. These fixtures included 148 gothic-style pendant luminaires, of which 28 were replicated, as well as 40 larger luminaires of the same style.
 

Saenger Theatre

Grand Light was selected for restoration of the large chandelier which is showcased at the center of the Saenger Theater in Mobile Alabama. This 8 feet tall chandelier has three steel frames with over 10,000 faceted crystal graduated chains with an Initial inspection discovering an excess of 125 mechanical failures within the crystal support frames to be corrected.
 

Harvard University – McKinlock Hall

Grand Light was selected to restore the historic fixtures in the hall located on the Harvard University Campus in Cambridge, MA. There are several different types of fixtures ranging from chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling mounted fixtures, pendant lights, and outdoor lanterns.
 

Wadsworth Atheneum

Grand Light was selected to restore several historic fixtures for the Wadsworth Atheneum. The restoration of these historic fixtures included cleaning all dust and surface corrosion, lightly burnish and blend to existing patina, and the application of museum grade wax.
 

St Joseph – Immaculate Conception Catholic Church

Grand Light is restoring interior pendant and ceiling lighting fixtures from St. Joseph - Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located in Millbrook, New York.
 

Yale University – Sterling Chemistry Building

Grand Light restored a large historic bronze and iron pendant light located in the lobby of Yale University's Sterling Chemistry Building. The restoration of this historic fixture included cleaning all dust and surface contaminants before an application of museum grade wax.
