University & Educational Institutions Resource Book
Grand Light restored several massive twelve-arm iron and brass chandeliers for Yale Divinity School. There was extensive design work done to carefully recreate the Greek symbols, which decorated the iron and brass frame. The existing frame components were also repaired and replaced to restore structural integrity.
Grand Light restored historic 70 year two-light wall sconces with hand-painted mica shades bearing Theodore Roosevelt's initials for the Weehawken High School in Weehawken, NJ.
Grand Light was selected to restore and replicate components of the 40 original lighting fixtures, bringing them back to their original beauty. The restored fixtures included 11 ceiling fixtures, 15 pendant lights, and 14 wall sconces.
Grand Light restored historic fixtures for Sigma Phi Fraternity at Cornell University Campus in Ithica, NY. There are several different types of fixtures including chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling mounted fixtures and outdoor lanterns.
Grand Light's restoration specialists worked on over a hundred indoor and outdoor fixtures of various sizes which included extensive metal reshaping, refinishing, fabrication of custom intricate glass panes, and the rewiring and utilization of UL listed components.
Grand Light restored interior and exterior historic luminaries for Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, NH. All of these fixtures were cleaned and the original finishes were conserved. All of the fixtures received repairs to mechanical defects and were rewired to UL standards utilizing modern lamping technologies.
Grand Light was selected to completely restore and modify a large number of the original fixtures from Morse & Stiles Colleges. These fixtures included multiple bronze sconces, bronze chandeliers, exterior poles and luminaires, library lights, and numerous massive bronze outdoor lighting fixtures.
Grand Light was selected to restore the original wood chandeliers and wall sconces from the second floor of the library. Many of the original ornate resin filigree details were broken/missing which required the fabrication of new, replicated components.
