The metal rings in silver-leaf are suspended by narrow silver-leaf metal rods and contain incandescent lights shielded by finely perforated metal diffusers, and casting light on the falling strands of hand-cut crystals cascading at the center. Each crystal is individually coated with a fine thin layer of silver to create a reflective surface while the crystals are still transparent. The light from the rings reflects off the crystals while more lights inside the cascades light the crystals from the within.
