Grand Light is fabricating custom fixtures and historic replications of existing historic exterior lighting fixtures from Harvard University's Adams House located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Grand Light fabricated numerous custom exterior lanterns which received an extended life exterior satin black finish incorporating multiple applications of primer, top color coats, and protective layers of UV resistant lacquer. Grand Light also replicated a historic E.F. Caldwell decorative ceiling fixture finished in a custom Verdi patina.
Grand Light designed and fabricated thirty cast iron custom lanterns replicating the style of existing exterior lanterns. Each custom lantern received a statuary base coat before an application of black finish and multiple coats of UV resistant protective lacquer top coat.
Grand Light was selected to design and fabricate lanterns that compliment the surroundings, illuminate the entry gates, and remain true to the ambiance created by the existing architecture of Yale University's Silliman College.
Grand Light was selected to create a custom octagon lantern for Elliott Tower at Oakland University. The lantern consists of a custom cast aluminum frame and beautiful glazing frosted seedy glass. The fixture uses modern lighting technology with a LED A19 bulb.
