New Haven, CT – After only a few weeks of hard work, Grand Light’s team of restoration artisans are in the final stages of the restoration of thirty three historic lighting fixtures from a private residence in Hartford, Connecticut.
The fixtures come from a large Colonial Revival style home which was built in the 1920’s, which until recently was occupied by a locally well-known businessman. The home is currently undergoing a full renovation.
To date all fixtures have been dissembled and thoroughly cleaned. Some fixtures have been stripped of their original finish, buffed and polished, and in other cases the original finish is being cleaned and preserved to maintain the fixture’s historic charm. Original components are being repaired and reused when possible . All fixtures are being rewired in accordance with UL standards.
Newly refinished wall sconces.
