Restored Landmark Lighting Returns To New London
Grand Light was selected by Architectural Preservation Studio, PC and the Town of New London to restore large historic early 20th century cast iron exterior lighting standards and a cast iron street clock located along the New London City Hall facade.
Utilizing a lull forklift, portable power-lifts, and ladders, Grand Light’s onsite specialists successfully transported and installed the historic exterior standards and street clock.
The restored standards and clock both received a matching finish consisting of a durable black vinyl resin top coat with multiple applications of a UV resistance protective lacquer.
The restored street clock was also updated with a new controller, two brand new clock faces, dials, motors, and acrylic face shields.
